Jessiah Jameson's family was looking forward to spending the holidays with him when he returned from a yearlong tour of duty in Iraq this month. Instead, Jameson's wife and mother spent Thanksgiving Day traveling to Tennessee, where they're hoping to find the 21-year-old Bellingham soldier, who's been missing for a week. Jameson, a specialist who serves with the Army's 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Ky., was planning to return to Washington Dec. 4 and spend the holidays with his family before moving with them to Clarksville, Tenn., a town of about 110,000 some 10 miles from Fort Campbell. Now, those plans are on hold. Jameson, who joined the Army a week after graduating from Bellingham's Squalicum High School, disappeared after leaving a Clarksville nightclub on Nov....

The shooting happened outside of the Plush club in the Union Station complex in St. Louis early Sunday. It was the fifth violent incident in or just outside a city nightspot in less than two months. The Dellwood resident, Charles Hogans, was shot several times about 2:30 a.m. in a parking lot behind the club. Hot nightclub, lukewarm eats

When the owner of the Factory called me a few months ago and invited me to check out the food at his new nightclub, he dropped words like "New York" and "upscale." When I ate at the Factory over the past month, I uttered words like "South Tacoma" and … well, it wasn't upscale. As menus go, the Factory's groove spins somewhere on the fringe of pub grub: burgers, pizzas, fish and chips and blackened salmon Caesar salad. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I actually enjoyed an 8-ounce top sirloin ($14). I ordered it medium, and that's how it arrived, with just a hint of pale pink in the center and a peppery crunch on the nicely charred crust. As I ate the accompanying garlic mashed potatoes, I closed my eyes and dreamed I was at Stanley & Seafort's....

Downtown Nightclub Sues City Of Dallas

A predominantly African American nightclub is suing the City of Dallas. The 12-million dollar lawsuit alleges discrimination and harassment. The lawsuit comes after the city repealed a permit for the club to stay open between two and four a.m. The club's owner says that change is costing him $22,000 a night and that racism is behind the city's actions.Club Blue became one of the city's most popular nightclubs when it opened in 2003. The establishment also drew attention for police activity. The combination set up a war of words between officers and the club's owners, whose customers are predominately black. The lawsuit claims Blue's 46 offenses from January 2005 to July of this year are less than the 68 offenses at Club DMX, and only slightly more than the 36 at Purgatory, which is also in downtown Dallas.John Stewart, the attorney for Blue, believes the city doesn't want a black nightclub downtown....

Juror questionnaire form released in nightclub fire case
Posted Thursday, October 12, 2006 11:05:57 PM by Blog57 Team
Prospective jurors brought in for the planned trial against one of the owners of The Station nightclub, where a fire killed 100 concertgoers, were given an exhaustive list of questions -- from asking if they knew any of the victims to whether they had ever driven past the club after the 2003 fire. The questionnaires that were actually filled out by the hundreds of people in the pool of prospective jurors have not been released by the court. But the blank copy of 102 questions show the exhaustive steps the court took to ferret out which jurors could impartially consider the case. That was no easy task in a state so small that virtually everyone seemed to know somebody connected to the fire, which was started when a band's pyrotechnics set ablaze highly flammable foam used around the stage for soundproofing....
